Our Story

Since 2002

Woven on the ghats of Varanasi

Om Handloom House is a family business, run by the Ghosh family from two stores in the heart of Varanasi — Bhelupur and Kamachcha. What began as a single loom’s worth of craft has grown into a house dedicated to authentic Banarasi silk sarees, handwoven masterpieces, and exclusive ethnic ensembles.

We specialise in weaves that carry the city’s history in every thread — Katan, Organza, Tissue, and Brocade silks, each finished with fine zari and resham work true to Banarasi tradition.

Craftsmanship

What goes into every saree

Every piece passes through fine material selection, skilled handloom weaving, and meticulous quality checks before it leaves our stores. Small variations in weave and colour are part of that process — a mark of authenticity, not a flaw.

It’s slower than machine production, and that’s the point: a saree that takes days to weave is built to last generations.

“Every thread tells a story of tradition.”
